ZWZ Takes The Lead In Localization of Wind Power Equipment

ZWZ Group held a conference on WTB Technology Localization and Development in Dalian Furama Hotel on Feb 28, 2009, signed the supplying agreement with over 20 enterprises with total value up to RMB 1.5 billion. This conference has attracted over 70 domestic and overseas well-known enterprises.

Zhang Guobao, Vice Chairman of NDRC and Bureau Chief of the Energy Bureau, NDRC, Qin Haiyan, Secretary General of China Wind Energy Association, Dalian Executive Deputy Mayor Xiao Shengfeng and Deputy Mayor Xu Xiaofei have been invited to attend this conference.

Shao yang, General manager of ZWZ Group, made a topic report on localization and development of ZWZ bearing technology of wind power generator, and showed the situation on it from 8 aspects: brief introduction of ZWZ , booming wind power industry, ZWZ project and products on wind power generator, ZWZ rapid development of wind power generator support by unique precision technology, precision manufacturing and quality management, ZWZ providing 10 kinds of value-added services, outlook of ZWZ wind power bearings and accessories, strategic relationship between ZWZ and its customers.

Qin Haiyan, Secretary General of China Wind Energy Association, made a speech on rapid developing wind power market of China. He expounded the booming wind power industry profoundly, made the requirement on its future development and suggested on its development trends and response measures. He said that wind power industry has an obvious advantage at present and should see a bright future as the complete machine and component manufacturers has further accelerated the development. He sincerely hopes everyone can make new contribution for China wind power industry.

Continuous development of wind power industry has promoted the high-speed development of manufacturing industry of matching equipment. Trade tipped to grow 8% despite global slowdown

China pledged to maintain a steady growth in foreign trade this year amid sharp declines in external demand and a rise in international trade protectionism.

Premier Wen Jiabao yesterday said in his government work report at the opening of the annual session of the National People's Congress that the government will take a series of measures to help exporters address difficulties amid the global economic downturn and to ensure steady growth in foreign trade.

Another report released by the country's top planner, the National Development and Reform Commission, yesterday predicted that the country's foreign trade volume would grow by 8 percent year-on-year this year, compared to the 17.8 percent growth seen last year. That means the value of foreign trade would touch $2.76 trillion this year.

MRC Bearings,a div. of SKF, Jamestown, N.Y. now offers precision-finished, silicon-nitride rollers separately, or installed in its line of aerospace hybrid roller bearings. MRC uses Cerama SN-101C silicon nitride ceramic roller blanks from Saint Gobain Ceramics,East Granbury, Conn.

Hybrid roller bearings (silicon-nitride roller in metal races) are said to last longer and run faster than their all-steel counterparts. Silicon nitride has just 40% the density of steel, which lowers rotational inertia and centrifugal force. Lower friction and less wear from smooth, hard ceramic surfaces let hybrid bearings run cooler with less lubricant. Applications for ceramic rollers include precision bearings for aerospace, machine tools, and racing.
